Drawing on cultural, literary, and philosophical influences, Yılmaz’s work spans sound and visual arts. In his sonic pieces, he balances between improvisation and composition, creating a unique auditory landscape. Yılmaz also delves into visual arts, creating large-scale abstract paintings that embody the randomness of materiality. Yılmaz’s academic credentials include a BA in Composition and Audio Technologies from Istanbul, and a MA in Sound Studies and Sonic Arts from Universität der Künste Berlin. His work reflects his deep understanding of the aural and visual, exploring themes that challenge our perception of the world.
